This is a small relief to me. How about all of you?

(I know some of you may think this was coming due to the live letter, but it wasn't fully confirmed, and this here is true confirmation ^^)

Well, it's too low IMO. They pretty much gave us a free character option until 2.0 since the discount is just 3 bucks/month.

Not really a good deal...i hope they have some good stuff on their sleeves that justify "keeping the same subscription".

3$ per character is just out of control. When most mmos alow as many characters as you want this is a big mistake. Times have changed and SE just cannot keep up. It is really sad.

You kidding? Most MMOs charge 15 bucks per account. Here you pay 13 bucks for a char that can play all classes, just like those other ones where you can have multiple chars, with one class per.

When 2.0 comes out they are going to charge 12.99 when others mmo games are 14.99 with as many characters as you want. this is a problem. Please help me to understand why they need to charge 3$ per character? If you can sell me the reason I will be glad to hear it. (and also tell my why wow and rift can give you unlimited free characters while your at it.)

By the way when replying spare the white knight lines, im a big ff fan and will stay anyway no matter what, I just think this is not a smart move for future success in the game. (people on this forum have a for every aspect or against every aspect mindset on here so sadly I have to set that up lol)

I don't white knight. I already said it. 15 bucks to have as many chars as you want. But that one char can only go only one direction.

This game, you pay 13 for one char that can do everything and anything you want.

It's simple. I've never wanted to make an additional char on either FFXI or FFXIV. When I played Aion, I had about 4 and it was honestly exhausting to be delivering stuff between them to save me the trouble of buying duplicates.

This is most exceptable for now. Not the 50% reduction I was hoping for; but 1/3 is ok. Also will appriciate the money I will save on FFXI for 3 months. Was not expecting that after the discount I received last year

Not to be rude, but I don't think they care. They are running a game that is currently bleeding money, yet they continue to run a company in the black. They have damn good financial advisers. They're giving the community a discount as it is. Also we have always known that extra characters were $3.00 extra. This is nothing new.

Originaly everything about this game was designed to combat RMT but it had the devastating effect of almost killing the game before it even got started. I wont list all the RMT countermeasures they put in place as most of us already have experianced them at some point and still are as they are tied into the very core of the game down to its server infrastructure. Charging for a service account and per character seperatly is just another example of an RMT countermeasure as RMT use many characters to farm gold.

The problem is you cant beat RMT and Tanaka almost destroyed this game trying.

Its still fairly cheap I think, im happy to pay for this game and I cant wait untill they start billing.
