Palace of the Dead (POTD) is killing Que times

Don't get me wrong. I love that we can use PotD to level up, but it is killing que times for dungeons, and mainly raids. I'm a healer, and i have never had to wait over 90 minutes to get into a raid. I'm sitting here once again trying to do Alexander, and I don't have hours to just sit around and look at my Duty Finder.

If you go to QuarryMill, you can see where the problem lies. Everyone is there leveling up, so they are not available to do anything else.

I think queues are just going to be bad and get worse in the lull of no new content, as people stop playing and wait for stormblood.

HW stuff will be easier to get into when they let you use the underside party option and also bringing npc squadron into content for help.

If people only want to do leveling in PotD then maybe other leveling methods should be balanced against it to be more viable.

Yeah, that could be true, but when I played ARR, and we were waiting for Heavensward, I never had these kind of wait times. Everyone was on playing, and trying to get all the stuff done before the expansion drops. There is no denying if you go to Quarrymill, that it is jam packed with people that would otherwise be doing content.

PotD is awesome, absolutely adore the idea and concept of it.

That said I do have to agree that it kills the queue for Dungeons/Trials/Raids. I can just imagine the sheer horror of queue times for DPS once Stormblood drops as well. Party Finder has been pretty good for playing some of the good content dungeons/raids though, mainly for farming stuff.

even without PotD it will hardly have any improvement in raid/trial/end game dungeon queue time
51-59 leveling dungeon still give more EXP and give gear progression
I queue PotD mainly I like the concept, and it is a good way to farm main hand
Soul of creator Savage usually people go in with fix party
Trial is the same thing, Extreme mode hardly have people to queue in DF
as for Story mode Soul of Creator, the only reason to queue it is for the gear, which have a weekly lock
nothing to do PotD gave exp for leveling, it is those content lack any thing that attract player to run it

I used potd to level my smn and blm and the job chars to get perks for my Bard, etc. If not for potd, I would of moved on to another game as I don't care to do HM or normal raids with that sector of the population that runs them. Running potd and Diadem is enough dealing with the general population for me tyvm. It would appear to me that people prefer this type of content because they flock there. Perhaps more of it is needed.

You could use PF to make a group to help the long queue times. You might have logged during a time where most people are asleep too. It happens. I've not noticed increase of queue times due to PotD tho I admit I prefer it for leveling alt classes and making extra gil.

Potd does not effect your que time at all. Most people doing potd are doing it to level jobs or get easy script/lore, If potd was removed everyone doing potd would be leveling somewhere else or doing roullettes mainly. They aren't going to que alexander.

You may want to invest time into a static if your trying to do raid progression or get Alex gear. Everyone's getting ready for the expansion, gear takes a back seat at this point.

Those queue's don't overlap. My Palace queue is because I'm leveling. Leveling roulette won't drop me in a raid. :P
