Although I can't say I didn't think a bit about Log Horizon while writing it, it wasn't based on it or anything. If anything, it draws more on my experiences with League of Legends and how huge a difference support can make (and how fun to play they are).

I guess my writing style is a little on the fanciful side. I could see it just reading a bit like the way Shiroe talks.
nothing wrong with that, the LoL reference makes a whole lot of sense though in conjecture to buffing/debuffing. Even in pvp in 14 debuffs that are nigh useless in pve combat seem to reign vastly in pvp ie paladin locking down opponents with shield bash, or tridisaster actually having a use.

i guess the root of the issue is that balancing it to be useful in both pve and pvp combat would be thebig issue not that it couldnt work
