It's kind of easy to forget about. I was only reminded of that fact doing one of the 50-60 gathering quests. I think it was the fishing one. Until that moment, I had totally forgotten the Calamity had such serious effects on the regional climates.



Well Lexia, given the quests in Camp Drybone specifically tell you the reason for the area's name is due to it being so arid, I feel that according to the lore of the game, the area should be arid. I don't recall anything telling me of a recent change in the weather patterns in that region of Ezorea.
It may be you all are right and the rain is there due to the Calamity. In which case, it would have been sufficient to simply have a quest giver mention the change. Otherwise, people are just making up headcanon for a programming error.
I agree. I laugh everytime I go into the Camp and it's raining. It's just so ludicrous. You have NPCs going on about how the people bring their dead there because of the low humidity and it's POURING like 80% of the time.Dunno, I like that it rains a lot at Camp Drybone. It adds character and a little bit of humor to the game in my opinion.
