Yep - this is the canon explanation.
When Dalamud descended and Bahamut appeared and tried to lay waste to Eorzea, it seriously messed with the aether in a number of areas, and since aether is tied up with the elements this shifted the kind of weather patterns present. Coerthas now suffers from a shift in the ice-aspected aether which caused a flash ice age of sorts, whereas Drybone is dealing with (I presume) a shift in water-aspected aether, hence the frequent rain.
...and here I was expecting someone having the same problems with certain weather patterns (certain types of rain; lightning) as I do - triggering heavy motion sickness and forcing me to leave the area if I dont want to play blind (as in: with closes eyes)...
Do you typically get simulation sickness? You can probably adjust aspects of the display (resolution and such) to help mitigate it.
Yeah, I do - its been getting worse and worse during the past years. I already have most battel effects turned off since spells like holy trigger it aswell, but there doesnt seem to be a fix for effects like that (or even enemy spells...). Wish I could just turn them off alltogether since non of the adjudsments I tried really work >.<
But since thats not possible and I can hardly "demand" that SE changes the game or the effects because of that I just avoid the shroud on rainy days and pray I dont get Lost city in my roulettes /shrug
Actually, if there's accessibility issues due to disability, you might be able to demand it via the law. Worth contacting a solicitor to see if it'd be possible for some sort of way to get SE to do it by law (if the lack of accessibility does breach laws)Yeah, I do - its been getting worse and worse during the past years. White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
I dont think theres any law that requires video games to be accessible for all. Would be ridiculous to demand everything available for everyone by law.
As for the subject:
I do think that it is nice with a monsoon rain in Eastenr thanalan as a remider this is the edge of the desert. This is supported by the abundance of greenery in the area.
I will agree it rains waaay too often though. It really does feel like at least 30% of my time in Drybone is wet. A rainy storm every 100 weatherchanges would be better.

I dont think this would count, since accessibility usually tends to be more for building access and things that would prevent people from going about their daily lives, not hobby related things.
I'm not so delusional that I would demand SE to change their game to fit my needs xD Thats my problem and I know how to deal with it - apart from me being well aware of me having this problem before starting the game, so I purchased it and keep paying to pay for it for 4 years, being well aware of it. Its not like I bought something that I cant use now because of it.
And at least in germany I doubt there would be any legal ground for this
