Idea for future Hatching-Tide...

Not sure if this is the correct forum area to post this, but I didn't see anywhere else that felt appropriate.
I had an idea for Hatching-Tide that I personally thought would be fun. So you know how for Easter, depending on where you live & beliefs, etc, they have Easter Egg hunts? Why not incorporate something like that for a future event? The quest could start off in Old Gridania, & there could be multiple zones where Easter Eggs have been hidden. In the Duty List, it would have a rundown of how many Eggs can be found in which areas. So say we did 6 zones, & in each zone, you need to find 8-10 eggs; nothing too crazy. There won't be markers on the map or anything like that; you need to actually run around that zone to find the eggs. It could even be limited to certain areas inside zones, i.e. The Burning Wall in E. Thanalan, if people would adverse to having to find eggs throughout the entire zone.

What are your thoughts? Is this something you'd like to see as a potential event?

They already had the egg hunt a few years ago, were you got egg hats to pick them up and had to team up. I would love to see an egg fight against PvP with the trow command. Kind of like the snow areas hurl a snow ball at someone :P

Think it's the reward that becomes an issue. Seems like SE has been simplifying the reward process for a while now, some had longer duration to get to the reward while others have just been complete the questline and get the reward.

I think for something like this to work, if they added old loot or currency as daily rewards it could work. Like imagine if you could get 5 currency a day and you could exchange said currency for quest items for 2.0 relic, maybe the first stage of 3.0 relic and an assortment of gear from the old 2.0 gear list which would range from the artifact armor to Ironwork gear.

Basically none of the rewards would actually make you stronger, rather they would be event-incentive perks for obtaining vanity gear that may be harder to get or heck new players joining might get some use out of doing said event to get some gear for when they hit 50 or 60. But I feel this is where their current dilemma is, adding in "new" rewards that aren't event rewards so players who would like to do more can, but those who just want the unique event rewards can do it and then be done with the event.

This is exactly what happened a few years ago. There WAS an egg hunt, and collecting eggs was connected to rare fates that popped up around the map. If you weren't there ready to camp the fate, you didn't get an egg. It was a miserable event and I'm glad they never brought it back.

I like the idea of an egg hunt that isn't connected to fates though. It might be fun to connect it to lore and the Heavensward map areas for once or something, like a bunch of Spriggans made off with some poor dragons' eggs in the Forelands? But I could also see this being fun for a short while and then getting irritating when you can't find that last egg...

There was a spriggan hunt too one year that was dreadful. I'd like to have an seek and find egg hunt but I think it would need to be contained within it's own instanced zone. Their attempts at doing it overworld didn't land very well although I appreciated the effort.

Eh? I thought the spriggan hunt was a fun one. I'd do that again.
