    The only real reason imo is that they don't want to rework armors around real Vieras,probably one of the reason we got this

    instead of this

    with Aura
    (not the mention cute sells more)
    I mean look at that concept art, doesn't she looks freaking amazing with her demonic features ?! But, "oh crap, we would have to redesign gloves and shoes ?!" (note how they did not even redesigned helmet....) sooooo "lets just add horns and a new tail on Miquo'ts and call it a day !"
