Firstmost, they dont add anything to the gameplay of existing players. They only add a paid option.
Second, they require way too much work with refitting gear. It takes a long time refitting gear and having to do it with every single piece from a pile that only grows bigger makes the creating of a new race take longer.

Woah hold up a moment. I lost a good degree of hips, buttocks, and tail armour when we went from 1.0 to 2.0 in order to allow them,to streamline gear. Other than minor aesthetic changes, the gear isn't remodelled for each race. It's the same mesh just scaled up to each races proportions.

The only gear that they actually work on each race for is the starter gear/clothes.
People just want to act like the devs are at their limit.
