Even still, that dreaded 31002 is the most feared notorious monster of them all. :PThe logon screen instance needs to be simplified too while we're at it. I can never beat the boss in that instance. Plus, the weapons it drops are too weak compared to gear made with materia and the models they used are terrible. And the boss glitches due to server mechanics.... And... It wasn't like that in FFXI.
Was asked a few pages back, I can confirm 30+ claims in a row against two different JP shells that we just walked up to and camped on, THEY HAVE NO ADVANTAGES WITH THE SERVERS BEING CLOSER. There is NO claim delay, you can aoe claim a mob before it even graphically loads and get the whole ffxi "IT SPAWNED PURPLE WTF BOTS" to the other players.
Now if this changes in 2.0 IDK, but as it stands now, the ones with the most numbers and the ones who stagger aoe claim abilites, warmonger, shield something level 40 or even standard tab provoke will win.
Yep, you just need to know what you are doing and be faster/smarter than the one trying to steal it from you. It's that easy. Like I said, if you are waiting until you can see the mob, then you are waiting too long. Was asked a few pages back, I can confirm 30+ claims in a row against two different JP shells that we just walked up to and camped on, THEY HAVE NO ADVANTAGES WITH THE SERVERS BEING CLOSER. that not bad behavior of players, thats good ol' competition people are afraid of theses days like you. no ones name is on the NM you just need to be first to claim it.
this is the behavior of open world content.hi,
this issue I'm going to say someone must do something about it.
I stayed for hour to form a party for NM drop item, after that we went to the camp and found another party is farming, we asked them if they going to finish soon, they said they will leave soon, so we waited for another hour and they were very kind and left, then we started farming the NM, 30minutes. then some LS party came and take over the camp from us without saying any word, and we tried to speak with them that this is a not good behavior what they did, and no reply, we tried to fight to get our camp back but without no luck, they always pull the NM before us (some sort of better connection and pc maybe) idk !!!!
so we left the camp and later we form a party for another NM and when we there framing the same party came and they take over the camp again with the same way.
we used to have a good players in ffxi with no such bad ppl. what happing in ffxiv is they going to spoil it?, is SE going to do anything about this?
hope they do something about this, cos i from that time don't like to camp for NM anymore.
this is literally why SE wants to focus almost entirely on instanced areas so this does not happen.
most people who want open world content enjoy what just happened to you because they want the competition. those people see it as good competative gameplay.
15 abilities each? what is this... Kindergarten?A jack of all trades WHM... what is this 1989?
I have a macro for claiming that goes something like this: /targetnpc /ac "Taunt II" /ac "Provoke II" /ac "Disorient". Now, if standing directly in front of the mobs' spawn point, holding down the Alt key and spamming the number 1 isn't going to outclaim, then I don't know what will. It's not an issue of right and wrong, It's an issue of play style. The other party wanted competition and when your party was confronted with said competition they folded. There are a couple different ways to handle the situation without using any anima, defend your position by out-claiming the other party, or move to a different camp within the stronghold.
