Were you popping warmonger before you saw the keyholder? If you don't my strategy won't help you. The key to my strat is to pop warmonger based off warmonger's own timer, not whether or not you see the mob. If you can see the mob, it's too late already. If you do my strat correctly, lag doesn't even come into play.I had this exact scenario happen to my party today in Natalan. Because the intruders were Japanese, and nobody in our party was, we couldn't outclaim them due to the lag. They would claim the Sentry, and of course all of the surrounding mobs would link them as well. Extremely rude and inconsiderate behavior.

be glad that this game doesn't have OWPVP, else I d like to read more drama on this forumI had this exact scenario happen to my party today in Natalan. if you pop warmonger when you first see key holder the jpn players are still seeing him about 1-3 seconds before me so even with the 3 min cooldown your still gonna be 1 second behind cause you initially popped it whn you saw him.were you popping sentinel before you saw the keyholder? If you don't my strategy won't help you. The key to my strat is to pop sentinel based off sentinel's own timer, not whether or not you see he mob. that's why you need to pop it BEFORE you see him. If you miss, then watch your warmonger timer and let somebody else know when to pop it on the next spawn. (voice chat is kinda key) It works, I've had to use this strat several times to keep key holders.
The point being that we weren't there for the Sentry, specifically, just to grind. Because there were 3 of them the mobs would link on them as well. Camping the Sentry on top of us was rude as-is, but if it were just the Sentry it'd be forgivable. Were you popping warmonger before you saw the keyholder? If you don't my strategy won't help you. They had better be glad. There were 8 of us and 3 of them.
So were they kiting the sentry over to your camp? Or were you just camped next to the sentry and expecting him to stand around untouched? I'll be frank, If I saw you grinding next to the sentry, and my party wanted the key, guess who's gonna camp the sentry.
We were grinding at the Sentry pop. The correct action would have been to ask, "Excuse me, I see you're grinding here and we just want the Sentry. Would you mind letting us have him"? They could have even backed out of the way so the new spawns didn't link them, but they couldn't even be bothered for that.
I can't believe you're defending discourtesy such as this.

thats the whole point
a sentry is essentialy like a NM, first come first serve on its claim
to think that you have the right to say that everyone has to wait to get the chest until your done with it is rude within itself too

Plenty of other, better, places to exp grind, go somewhere else. I'd think they would have priority since that one mob drops key and you can go anywhere to expWe were grinding at the Sentry pop.
