Do you guys cry when you get broken into in DARK SOULS and DIE because of the COMPETITION? The thrill of the hunt makes it worth it. Whether it brings you pain or glee, the emotion is what we seek out. I don't wanna be a zombie through a game. Sorry, but you need to deal with it or gtfo, life is rough.

I agree with you about dealing with situations. There's a difference between competition and sportsmanship (poor sportsmantship is what the OP is referring to). Seems like sportsmanship doesn't matter to you. Which of course you're entitled to. It's simply something other people value. I have good sportsmanship as I said in another thread, I'll raise/heal the person I'm competing with.
ITT; entitlement.
Thats one rue I love and miss from EQOA. They had a strict griefing rule and GM they stayed on top of enforcing it, to the point that the community wased "tamed" on such issues. If you initiated an attack on a raid location or what not like in this situation, you were considered to have a ligitimate claim. If a group of jerks came in and harrassed you in your situation in any way a GM call/report would have a GM on it very quickly and they would generally watch the situation to see if there was any evidence to a complaint, then act on it.
That is not the only MMO that has griefing rules. Thus these post claiming "thats the nature of MMOs" and what not is not entirely true.
Its just too bad that so few companies really support excelent customer service anymore. I guess they just don't grasp the concept of how well good customer service helps with general player happiness and retention.

oh, we had our share of complete a$$holes in XI. I can remember time I was camping Mee Degi in Castle Oztroja, I spent a good 8 hours waiting for him to spawn twice, only to have the same person run in and claim him both times after I did all the work, I even called him a "F#$%ing parasite" when he did it to me the 2nd time, he never apologized, he didn't even flinch. In the end, I had to buy the non rare/ex feet for my nin, and blow most of my gil in the process.
So far, it hasn't been as quite as bad in XIV, due to the fact that hunting NMs doesn't equate to spending hours or days waiting for a respawn, that and I've seen some players who are more than willing to team up if you ask them.

As much as i empathise with you i strongly advise you not to announce the name of the linkshell and specific character names. We have all been frustrated at times with these kind of situations but i have seen someone do this previously and unfortunately for them it esscalated and they ended up looking like the bad person.. I suggest moving on to another NM until the other party leaves. I know you were there first and people should be patient and be polite and wait but some people see this as a game and dont consider the other parties feelings thats enough to show them up in a negative light. I hope you get your drop soon enough![]()
