You wasn't joking about it is easier to take up multiple crafts, so far im juggling goldsmith, weaver and miner lol I am sure I will end up with more soon.

Oh and how do you guys cope with storage, I am really struggling to keep space in my bags now and thats with selling the stuff I make.

Well, first off, another reason I recommend leveling your crafters/gatherers all at once is that they share gear. So, that helps cut down on stuff considerably. Also, get into the habit of looking up what the items you have are used for. If you'll need it in the near future, hold on to it. If not (say for example it's only used in crafts way above your level), then either sell it to an NPC or on the marketboard (whichever will get you more money). You can always purchase it back off the MB later.

Note that the same goes for gear. If you've got old outdated gear you're holding on to "just in case" you level another class that can use it... just sell it for now or convert it into materia and gear up your newer job when you get around to leveling it. Again, you want to get into a habit of living in the now. Ideally, you'll just have one set of gear for each class you have leveled at the moment, which easily fits in your armory chest (assuming you share rings on at least a few classes)

I would strongly recommend getting all the crafting classes up to level 15 as a start. That can be done using only materials bought from the guild vendor or, in a few cases, some other vendor in the same city. At level 15 each class gets a skill that can be cross-classed as well - many of those are very useful.

As for storage, that is a problem. Answer is extra retainers. If you get serious about crafting you can easily have 3-4 retainers full with crafting materials - and still want more storage space.
