Jihli has been around since 1.0 and there is no indication that she has any kids. There are several npcs beyond just Khloe and Zhloe that are Aliapohs and while they are all presumably part of the same family that doesn't mean that they are closely related or even know each other. They might not even be distantly related--there are a lot of people out there with my RL family name that I'm not related to.

Aliapoh is the "smith" of keeper names.
Once there was one Aliapoh that had say 5 offspring. 4 of which were female. Those 4 had 5 kittens aswell. Suddenly theres 20 aliapohs in just one generation lap.
And the name aliapoh could have been around for thousands of years. Who knows how many Aliapohs are around.
A better real world example would be the Nguyen name from vietnam. That name is about 800 years old and has over time become the surname of 40% of the vietnamese population.
Yeah I think the naming conventions thread mentions that most keeper names are so old that they've supposedly been around since before the 1st umbral era.
Aliapoh is a really old Keeper family name that probably dates back to well before the miqo'te emigrated from Meracydia. Lorewise, there's probably hundreds or even thousands of Keepers with that name that have little to no present-day relation to each other.
Officially, it's no longer clear that the miqo'te came from Meracydia. The lore book states:
Meaning to say, the miqo'te apparently came from the east, not from the south. It is believed that for the years that encompassed the Fifth Unbral Era — or as it is also known, the Age of Eternal Frost — much of the Bloodbrine Sea was frozen solid, on one hand preventing fishing and decimating the populations of sea life, but on the other, allowing for the migration of miqo'te tribes from southern Ilsabard into northern Eorzea.
This was discussed here: Origins of Miqo'te?
... It seems I should re-read the Encyclopaedia and brush up on a few things. Thanks for the correction.Officially, it's no longer clear that the miqo'te came from Meracydia. The lore book states:

Something that was brought up to me is that whenever we read about the Miqo'te migration to Eorzea during the Age of Endless Frost, it's always regarding the twenty-six Seeker tribes who exist still in the realm today. We never hear about how or when the Keepers of the Moon got here. It could be that it was just the Seekers of the Sun who came south across frozen seas from Near Eastern Ilsabard and the Keepers came at a different time, perhaps from Meracydia, as we are still certain that Meracydia has or had at one time a Miqo'te population thanks to the Aloe and Sesame descriptions.
I'll admit I was a little skeptical of the simplicity of the idea at first, but there's nothing to really debunk the theory.Originally Posted by Sesame Seeds

Cant rule that theory out. We know however their were Miqote prior to the rise of the Allagan empire. For some reason the Allag persecuted the Miqote and drove them from Eorzea.
Yeah, I still can't really make sense of that bit? The Allagan Empire spanned the three great continents, so... The Allagans chased the Miqo'te out of one Allagan-controlled continent to a different Allagan-controlled continent. And not even to the Siberian-esque part of Ilsabard, they were chased to southern Ilsabard which, even today, is the nice part of the continent where Garlemald gets all of its exotic foods and fancy fineries. So I feel like there's a large part of the story that we're not getting? Why persecute Miqo'te? It'd make more sense if the Miqo'te were from Meracydia originally, being Allag's only real enemies for centuries.
That said, that passage that talks about the Allagans chasing the Miqo'te out of Eorzea still doesn't say where the Miqo'te came from before. Ah well, all we can do is theorycraft at this point.
