I personally loved the challenges to get Twintania minion! Each level was challenging and makes me appreciate this dragon so much more!

Good glamours... when I find a really nice looking item it motivates me to do things in-game.
Like level my PLD finally because I found a nice glamour.. or consider actually playing SMN because the Plague Bringer coat is so so nice.
(you can even /visor the hat but that's too bad because I love the plague mask)

Ahhhh, this is so me! I levelled Pugilist all the way to 50 through questing just so my Paladin could wear one specific glamour around the cities now and then. Generally it's often what pushes me to level my new alts too..... something which I can no longer do with the annoying 8/8 cap thoughhh! ;;

In any case, aside from glamours? The scenery. The music. The emotes. Taking (bad) screenshots. Editing said screenshots(terribly). The storryyyyy. Becoming better at a job. Running into new players that need help and are kind and grateful for explanations and tips. Running into experienced players that are friendly and can muster up a "Hello", "Thank you for the run" and "Goodbye".

From 3.1: I thought I was going to be happy with Diadem but no, it's completely not what I wanted. By now I'm happy with the MSQ and Vanu Vanu quests, they are very heart-warming and I love Linu.

Whole game: Beautiful and well designed dungeons like Lost City of Amdapor, The Vault and Arboretum, MSQ, beast-tribe quests in general, class quests and Sidequest chains that let you know more about certain NPCs and I love the primal fights, especially Garuda. Also remote places with great design like the Hermit's Hovel.

Glamour, Story, Lore (especially like Odins), Exploring the world, the good runs, the good groups, learning classes as I level them, clearing with my FC, getting that drop you were hoping for, That first clear. Lots of stuff really.

Agree with above poster Lost City and Arbatorium are amazing maps.
