Yes, I can. I have it and again I could not care less. ^^ Everything I buy from SE I buy for the item..again it really does not bother me at all.

In fact I gave my emote to my BF from the statue, I don't really care..heh. I just want my friends and others to be able to obtain these minions, because I get asked a LOT where I got them from...so figured it would be nice to see idk.

I'd like some of these old items myself but I imagine it would be a kick in the face for the players who paid for them, and they'd be a lot less special.

So long as they avoid breaking promises, not assumed promises by the player, but actual ones - I think it would be nice to have these items obtainable some other way. Collection is an addiction SE can make /a lot/ of money supporting lol.

I don't agree that because an item was bought with another they have to be bound together forever, in fact I see the digital item as a bonus like you get those little bonuses sometimes when purchasing the primary item in real life. Specifically they usually call these digital items bonuses too, to both state that its extra added value and that its not the primary purpose of the purchase. Extra lotion or whatever, the purpose was not the side little item as it wasn't in the title and it wasn't on the receipt, if you made it about the bonus item that was a bit on you (although I can understand some mixed feelings on the idea, I still believe if they've made it clear it was extra it means it's not permanently bound into the original deal). They wanted to entice the deal by giving you extra, that doesn't mean they can't take that bonus and sell it separately else where.

Of course avoiding moments where they said "this item will never be obtainable again, anywhere, ever" and then they do the opposite of that- that's bad.

I'd also work towards notifying people of the delay schedule for those bonus items, even if its not known when it'll be up again - setting a minimum unique timer. Like buy the new moogle plushie, and during the first run also get a bonus moogle minion in game exclusive for at least 6 months! Then preferably added to the game at an event, or something, but in the end to the cash shop. I'd also work on being very specific for items that have expiration and permanently limited availability, things that will never be available again! I would strongly and kindly ask avoiding this for any sort of out item that wasn't available in game first, but they might work well for charity events - to really push the purchase of the item.

Of course I feel if you added the KC (kupo cash)/Veteran reward system, or methods so that you promote whales but also lower the the amount of damage to people who are not whales the cash shop may be more accepted - specifically if you don't release things so fast that it makes the KC massively useless (25 new exclusive cash shop items a month, every 3 months players get enough KC to buy 1 minor minion - the good feels from the KC would be absolutely buried by the obvious zeal in hunting the whales).

I'd really like for SE to just start printing the soundtracks with valid codes again.

It seems that they're moving away from expirations on DLC, what with the Wind-up Nidhogg and Wind-up Hraesvalgr codes not having expiration dates on them. So I would think it wouldn't be too much of a kick in the teeth if they just started printing valid codes again, and included them in future presses of the older soundtracks. I personally love the music in this game (and in most Final Fantasy games I play, tbh), so investing in the soundtrack is something I would do. The minions would be a nice bonus as well. :3

Some items I do think should retain their exclusivity (i.e., preorder bonuses such as the Cait Sith Doll or Black Courier Chocobo Chick minion), but I don't see why some would get upset if SE just started making more codes for the Wind-up Bahamut and Dalamud minions.

I'm one of the people that missed out on both the minion and their attached items. I personally would love it if they'd bring back those promos.

I wouldn't mind them bringing back the promos either, just not the minions alone. Don't just throw them on the cash shop and be done with it.

But if they bring them back that way only, what do they do about all the people that bought them with expired codes? Should those people then have to pay an additional $50+ to get the promotional item only available by purchasing an item they already bought?

How about exchanging the expired codes for valid ones? I amdit that I dont know how that could work from a technical point, but it should solve the problem

Easy, proof of purchase between two certain dates, and you can get a free code. It's a bit much work for SE to consider it, but not entire unfeasible if they want to push these minions back into circulation (which they have no reason to care about)
