so, myself (a noob at crafting) and a friend (not a noob at crafting) were discussing an idea I threw out about how crafters could gain party exp.
just for the foundation of the idea, we came up with this:
- new abilities would be added, including group chained abilities.
- there would be a circle buff similar to parties, but appropriate to the skills involved. the exp. portion of the bonus will depend on the number of unique classes in the circle. the more, the better.
- a line of items exclusive to being crafted within a circle of 4 to 8.
- group leves that involve the inclusion of DoW/DoM for protection while crafting in dangerous areas under dangerous circumstances. the DoM/DoW classes involved will receive a substantial Spirit Bond bonus for every level mob killed, as well as exp.
- a new area will be created to cater to crafting needs and basic supplies. any crafters inside this area will automatically receive a beneficial "aura" bonus similar to the current use of advanced facilities. this does stack with the circle bonus.
- group leves that involve participation of ANY 4 unique crafts. the combination of the crafts will determine the item to be synth'd. when contributing to these leves, special abilities become available. each craft involved will be in charge of creating a part that when combined at the end, and checked for quality assurance, dtermines the amount of exp. gained for the group as a "chunk" of xp. time is everything, but craftsmanship is always remembered. you will have a quality control % rating as you progress through these leves. this rating has a minor, but noticable effect on the outcome of future endeavors. this % rating is also available for anyone to view.
----an example of the types of abilities would be: ( NOT serious ideas )----- "Helping Hand" - allows you to greatly improve the the Control of the crafter to the right of you for the next 3 processes. you lose 10 durability in the process.
- "Sacrifice" allows you gift a 25% durability bonus to another crafter of the same class by taking a 25% quality hit on your current synth.
- "The Masons Secret" reverses the last 3 steps you made
anyway...I'm tired now, but I wanted to throw that out there because it sounded cool to me, but like i said, I'm noob at that stuff, so it could all be laughable. if it made you laugh, well that's cool too./discuss
