It's like a cutscene in Final Fantasy XI. You can't play the cutscene, but it sure as hell ain't pre-rendered CGI Cinematics.
Cutscenes are nice in FFXIV too, go see the Ifrit cutscene on rank 36 mission where the fire looks completely real and the Judge cutscene fight in rank 46 mission.
