Lackluster Graphics in FFXIV

The water in Gridania is a lot better than anywhere else, duno if anyone else noticed that.

I agree the water on the boat is laughably bad and more akin to an oil slick.

That being said this has some of the best graphics and water in an MMO outside of Tera.

You can't have graphics as h igh as in a single player shooter because you can have a lot more polys on the screen in crowded places, unless you set the maximum number of models to a really low number.

I think FFXIV looks amazing. In fact... the usual reaction from players entering into the game is... "wow, this is gorgeous".

The only things that are lackluster are the graphics on the spell and skill animations as well as most armor.

All we're doing is pointing SE in the right direction towards making the graphics even better! Since you love FFXIV for its graphics, then wouldn't you love it even more if the graphics were even better?

Nope. You are going to tell them to add even more weight to the graphics, which has been troubled people because they have/had a not-enough-powerful computer.
Adding more detail on the graphics will only do BAD to our GPU.
Graphics are fine for now. The water is ok, the terrain is ok, the rocks are ok and my crotch is ok. I don't see anything to add or to remove.

And for Christ's sake, it's a game, not reality! If I wanted to play a good game with top notch graphics and real-time effects, I'd go to a bar and start a fuss.
