Well, yes, ps4 users have it difficult. The ones without keyboard attached, more difficult.

Sometime it happened to have good time with groups from other worlds that even asked me to transfer to them fc!, I just noticed any talk is less and less an occurrence.

Potd feels to me as solo content with 4 people in it, tbh.

I tend to give what I get back from the group. If the group is light hearted and chatty I participate. If it's just a "hello" and a businesslike run I don't try to converse.

Most of my runs are fairly silent from beginning to end, though on occasion there can be some levity involved and sometimes people will comment when someone does something either stupid or when someone really plays the heck out of their job (I get a lot of thanks for actually using Foe and Paean frequently on my BRD). But generally I find a run where no one complains or bitches out is a good run... Get on, do work, get it done and get out clean. Nothing wrong with that.

Console users ruined sociability of a MMORPG. Not because they are jerks. But because like the last poster said. They have to switch to a keyboard and put down a friggin controller.

You couldn't be more right than this. You nailed it.
This is exactly why it is the way it is in XIV.
On other PC only MMORPGs people talk much more (be it calling your mom names or be it casually friendly :P)

Most of the parties I get in df will stops at the initial greetings, and a good number of people does not even bother to answer them.

Then, a full run without a single word than myself trying to talk a couple times but met with a silence wall.

Well, cannot ask everyone doing chit-chat, but isn't it quite gloomy? When I do duties with fc mates we talk a good number of times and will end them nicely and timely anyway.

Are your runs that way? Do you prefer run silently but with maxed efficiency? Am I wrong?

I can try to talk more, but that would mean I have focus on typing and stop healing for a few seconds, maybe get a few laughs when we wipe.

Do you noticed it, too? The time you go on the keyboard for any reason, is the -exact- time someone needs sirious heal.

Yeah, well I remember this one incident where there was this BLM was too busy typing that he didn't have enough time to get out of an AOE, also that one time PLD was typing out orders that he lost enmity, but those were low level dungeons so I was thinking... Mentors!! dun dun dun... >.>

Except people always compare this games sociability to that of FFXI (I know, I know) and that was also on consoles, and was apparently way more chatty. I doubt consoles have anything to do with it. More the mindset of going fast and being most efficient (though most players don't have the skill to be that efficient anyway lol)
