Continued crashing when changing zones

I've seen this posted here and there for a while without a solution, when changing zones I sometimes crash randomly. Started around patch 3.2 for me (no problems back in ARR or early HW). It seems to be able to happen in any zone transition, but most often while teleporting to Idyllshire, Aleport, or the Lominsa Lower Decks (for that matter, even while taking an Aetheryte to the Upper Decks). On the loading screen, audio stutters briefly (this happens even when not crashing), and sometimes loading stutters before the crash may occur. No error code, clicking the window causes it to go unresponsive and prompts Windows to offer to terminate the program.

Anyone else run into this and come up with a fix? I'm on a Radeon RX480, and have tried reinstalling XIV as well as all my graphics drivers.

If you are running discord, turn off the use GUI mode in its settings. That caused a few crashing issues for me.
