PVP Duty Finder time too long?

Im not trying to sound like a jerk, or disrespect anyone I've been trying to play pvp on adamantoise but Duty Finder time is about 15 - 25 minutes... should I just give up, because I'll never get to the top 100 if it takes that long to get in one match. I like pvp and would like to continue waiting just bores me.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you

Long queue times is really bad in PVP. They would be like this on all servers, I get massively bad ones on Tonberry. I can't even get to do 4v4 ranked during my play times, plus waiting an hour+ for a 10 minute game is not worth it.

They just need to release the queue restrictions. I mean between servers. Get rid of this data centre stuff and compile a bigger pool the duty finder and get people from.

Back in the days before Garo, I'd waited at most an hour and a half for a match. You find ways to keep busy.

Elemental's PvP times are very quick during peak time. Around 9pm-3am JST (GMT+9). You get very, very long times any other time of day.

If they get rid of data centre stuff, you'll lag heaps. Combining people from Japan, North America and Europe? Many people would have at least 300ms. And which region does the PvP instance originate? I don't want to be playing on an instance in the EU server because I'd get super lag for being on the other side of the world.

I play at off peak times. My record is 8 hours, I think, and 4-5 hours is normal. Whenever I finally get in, the first thing everyone talks about is how long they have been waiting around and I end up playing terribly because I take some time to warm up. At least we can now have chocobos out, but it's a shame there's so little open world content as waiting the queues out is rather painful once you've cleared most of the soloable stuff.

Fortunately, weekends are decent for queues.

We just need more people playing. GARO really helped for a while, and more rewards with less complicated rules (e.g. PVP materia, confusion about gear, confusion about skills, confusion about modes, confusion about PVP levels, not being able to queue multiple Feast categories, rewards being redundant after a few days of play) would encourage newbies to give it a try.

Yeah, those play times don't work if you have a life to live(unless you have a job at the post office I guess).

Im usually at work and only get about 2-3 hours of gameplay in, 25 30 minute wait it's never going to help me move up the ranks even though I enjoyed PvP rank.

But that's okay atleast I enjoyed it for what it was.
Ranked PVP is for players who have to time to rank up not for players like me that only has two to three hours.

SE has made it a little bit easier, Make sure your in free lance and join in progress. I usually get it right away and sometimes cust my wait times from 25min to 10-15 if using roulette. For the Feast should go around 15-20 depending on server.

Part of the problem is a pretty small player pool that's actually interested in doing ranked, especially healers. Even as much as I like pvp, I don't do ranked because there's just too much for other players to lose if my skills aren't up to par and I'm not comfortable with that. I'd imagine others who PVP feel the same. Garo brought some life back into PVP but it didn't do much to rejuvenate ranked modes, and tbh I'm kind of glad it's not a requirement given the schisms I've seen between "vets" and "Garos" of late.

Being unable to queue 8v8 and 4v4 simultaneously now sucks, because at least before if ranked queues were too long/dead, I could queue 8s at the same time and usually get one or the other. Now if I want to play ranked I have to sit in the 4v4 queue for 25-30min.
