I agree. Everytime i see that on the top page i look and have to scroll through 100s of " Immediate reactions"

If you're scrolling through hundreds of them, I wouldn't call them immediate reactions... I believe that fits into the 'discussing back and forth for pages at a time' part of my post you are referring to.

No need for extreme views - especially ones that can neither be enforced nor expected of people. It boils down to common courtesy and etiquette.

Its both. and it should stop. I have done it so im not mad or anything im just saying this thread is a good idea. I have to scroll through 3 pages to get to the next translation. Its both and both should stop IMO.

lol, well it seems this thread is working as intended. Seriously though, it was a joke thread mainly because I didn't want to be hypocritical by posting the the translation thread to stop arguing about it (which I will get to in a moment). What I wish SE would do is just FREAKING STICKY THE TRANSLATION THREAD ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (We know you can, its not unprecedented).

Anyway, while'st this was a primarily a joke thread it could always still have its uses for when conversation begins to get lengthy. But sadly that falls on us to be responsible and move the discussion here. For example: Rein posts new juicy information > Person1 responds, oh wow seems cool > Person2 responds, oh my hope that falls through! > Person1 replies, why's that? This seems great. > Person2 replies, Let's continue this in the discussion thread.

Seems complicated but I think if we used common sense and a little but of self-judgement we can see when a discussion is going to arise, we aren't stupid. So bring it to this thread if you wish to continue the discussion, because there has been times where a whole page is nothing but discussion. And some people just want to browse quickly, also it keeps the pages down on the other thread.

Just something to ponder about. We can all be civil intelligent adults about this.
