I finish with 19 seconds left, consistently putting me at 2367.20 DPS. No food, no potions.

I have a bad habit of standing in front of the dummy instead of behind. Make sure you utilize the free positional.

Even at i270, you can see the disparity in our Crit. I know it's late in patch cycles, but never underestimate taking a lower ilvl piece of gear that has superior crit on it. I'd rather take my chances with you hitting slightly harder but me critting 31% to your 21%.

Finally, Feint. I use it pretty often. Every time I have an oGCD up, by the time my GCD finishes cycling, I pop Feint so I can use the oGCD right away. It's a TP sink, but we want higher overall damage. So if BL is ready, don't just HS for 150 potency, Feint for 120 AND BL for 150. Or any oGCD really. The total potency makes it worth it in that span of 2.whatever seconds.

I've seen a lot of videos with high dps runs but they won't ever tell you their average. So you're left with confusion on what to truely expect.
With BiS gear I will tell you my average is 35 seconds left on A12S dummy with no food or pots. Not sure if it's a good average, but it's what I've got.

Most of the openers mentioned work just fine. Honestly I've played around with so many, and there's not one that I've found to completely triumph another. The good ones are ones that allow you to use BL procs during the opener. You will have to get comfortable with an opener before you realize just where in the opener you can squeeze them in. Getting off your high CD abilities sooner means they'll be up again sooner. Don't forget that.

Well after changing my rotation and opening a bit i can do the a12s with 19secs left sometimes 17 and sometimes 23. I think it all depends on the amount of crits and BL you get within those 3 minutes.

It seems for a BIS bard the standard time to break the dummy is having between 25/27 secs left. I've been asking around not only here but everyone with bis comes back to me with times around that.

I'm pretty happy at the moment so i just need to carry on practicing. Thanks a lot everyone

Myself i have much prefered an opener of straight shot>Windbite> Venemeous Bite> Barrage> Heavy Shot> etc..
The rotation in that link provided on the first page looks very odd, but whatever works for people is fine
Meld crit and skill speed on your gear (i am sure it was said already)

I remember seeing you at SSS a week or two ago. I thought about trying to offer advice, but I didn't want to impose as I'm not a BRD main, I only played learned to play it for speed kills. If you find yourself wanting more input, I could try observing. I usually kill the A12S dummy with around 30-40s remaining, best was 42s.

That's awesome thank you! You'll probably see me there for the next 3 days as i need to sort bard out only started beginning of the month. Yesterday I did a few tries and managed to break it at 23/22secs constantly so i must be doing something right. What I'm doing now is chaining b4b HE and Rs all at the same time on second set (first set at start preparing pull, second is when dummys time is at 1minute ish left)

It's hard to ask for a rotation knowing that it all depends on RNG with straight shot and Blood letter. What i always try to do is to always do IJ before EA

The only issue there is that for any content in which you have Empyreal Arrow, you want to always use Barrage with it, not Heavy Shot. It's a DPS loss to use Barrage with Heavy Shot if Empyreal Arrow is available.

For level 50 rotation, yes, it makes sense to Barrage + Heavy Shot. But not 60.
