The example is a quick edit of the current banners in the game but I"m wondering why they come off as so mismatched.

The original has game content on both the side and bottom, which imo makes no sense because a person interested in the game wouldn't consider the 6 bottom banners as having any information they would be interested in and yet you've placed 4/6 potential interesting content. The Ceremony Bonding, POTD, the optional services and the libra app.

When I look at those bottom banners I see side banner that would work parallel with them if you consider each banner a certain genre.

Forum/Blog is all about communication.

Mog Station/Optional Services help to expand on Mog Station services

Hatchling-tide/Eternal Bonding are both in game events, one time based, the other an in-game marriage system

Feast/POTD are PVP/PVE ranking concepts

Then below that you have the option to start free trial or buy, the expansion next tto the benchmark so players can click on one before the other to see if their computer is strong enough. Then the recuit a friend/callback, both serve the concept of getting new players or old players to come back.

Fan-kit/libra are together since I figured you would want partners to be a bigger banner.

To explain further though, the reason I think a banner like this would serve a better purpose in getting players interested is because their eyes follow a story going up and down.

You see the means of communication and a Developer's Blog is a positive to most who see it as them communicating with the community. Mog Station by itself might confuse people but adding it next to optional services can help new players better understand that it must be tied to the Mog station.

Then the event, showing that events take place and that there is another form of even in the game that a player could partake in. Then the 2 forms of ranking, if players look into it and learn that oh if they aren't a fan of PVP ranking they could always have fun with Deep Dungeon ranking and it further shows the type of content in the game.

Then after that you introduce them to the option to pick the free trial or buy, then under that as their eyes scroll down they notice the new expansion, they notice the benchmark, they notice the campaigns and with that, you are able to show the whole picture through the side bar instead of having information forgotten at the bottom.
