They don't respond on weekends, its also not in the right section, and if it was an SE issue, it would affect more than a small amount of people.

This is likely your isp blocking or severely throttling the protocol used to update the game.

Heck, i was able to update the game from a hotel with the worst internet ive ever seen, and i had the connection drop at least once an hour or so.
