    [Help Please] Non responses to reported technical issues

    There appears to be a lack of monitoring by the Devs for the Technical Forums. I and a number of others have reported problems with downloading software for various platforms [http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...3-25008-20495]. This and several other posts with similar concerns have received no responses, not even a "We are looking into this matter". It appears that a number of subscribers are unable to partake in the game til these matters are resolved. Others, like me, who are on 2 platforms would like to use what we paid for. Can someone look into this please?

    The devs don't pay attention to the tech forums it mainly a peer to peer support and downloading issue is usually a ISP issue not a SE issue as seen more then couple times in my time playing the game that people report that using a different connection such as a mobile hotspot or changing DNS allows them to download the patches. If it was a SE issues none of those options would work either.

    I respectfully disagree with you on several points.

    1. By their own statement they will provide information on issues discussed. How can they do that if they do not monitor the forum?

    2. These are not ISP issues. I never had a problem downloading to my PS3, PS4 and PC. I use the same ISP provider and run my platforms off the same router ergo the same DNS. I have downloaded patches for two platforms 1 right after another without incident. Furthermore I am trying to download the game to a new unit. I receive the same error for the same files at the same point in the download. That is not an ISP issue.

    The devs don't visit the forums on a very rare occasions might see a post from Yoshi-p like talking about the new NA data center, the people you are thinking of are the community reps that then pass on information to the dev team.

    Rizon, I don't know if this will work but when my sister was visiting me from the States I set up my husband's PC to run FFXIV so she could play. Rather than download the whole thing again I simply copied the files on my PC to my husband's and the client worked without any issue. Obviously this won't work if your new unit is a PS4 but perhaps it's something to try if the new unit is a PC?

    Thank you for the response. Unfortunately my new unit is a PS Pro and my old PS4 gave up the ghost. Therefore a file transfer is not an option. At least it happened now
    so I won't waste money for a stormblood expansion I cannot use.

    On which platform are you trying to download the game? Have you tried to change the DNS? I know you had no problem to download it before with the same DNS, but sometimes changing the DNS does the trick.

    There is this thread that got moved to "Resolved Issues", it might have some solution to your problem:

    I am trying to download it to a PSPro. Will these programs mentioned work on a Pro? Seems like a lot of unnecessary work involved for a game download.

    Never had to use a VPN, changing DNS was the only thing I've had ever done to solve any connection problems I had with the game. I actually had more issues with Sony's servers to download it from PS Store than with SE's server to download the patches.

    In my experience with this forum though, SE does take ages to reply here, I always had more luck contacting them via email. I'm really sorry that you are having such a headache with the game though, I hope that gets solved in the future.

    OK SE I surrender you win. As usual you completely ignored a customers concerns regarding your product. I tried everything that others have suggested including spending money for a third party program to help get this download.......to no avail. As such I have deleted the game from my PSPro and will not try again. I now consider the money spent for FFXIV ARR and Heavensward to be totally wasted (not that you care you already got it). Maybe you should take that moneyy and invest it into some rudimentry customer service. People should not have to go through this aggravation just to download your product. At least this happened before I through good after bad and ordered Stormblood for the PSPro. Don't even know why I am writing this as you will probably ignore it too.
