Why are bad hunt behavior rewarded?

Ok so what you are missing here is that they don't even wait.

You seem to be missing the point others have already responded back to you, anyone one at any time either alone or with a group of other players can attack any open world mob as they see fit. There is no such thing as early pulls

Ok so what you are missing here is that they don't even wait. They see a mob, they kill it. Just because it's fun for them to see the salt in shout.

Which means they already have enough people to kill it. They don't have to wait for you and yours to show up. Find it first if its such a big problem not trying to be mean but they aren't breaking any rules now if they are announcing it out in linkshells that's its been found and when people get there they already have killed it thats a different story.

I'm not missing the part of "they don't wait" because they DON'T have to wait since they are able to kill the mob with their party/raid/fc/whatever ... I know it sucks but if they manage to kill the mob it's their right to do so ...

SE should never have introduced Hunts because the community is not able to handle the salt. Also it's boring like hell ...

Pulling only because you know you will bother plenty of other people searching for NM that won't be there to get the reward sound like a bad behavior to me. Especially when the FC tag is literally "Troll".

Try reporting and letting the GM sort it out. While pulling and killing a mob is within the rules of the game, deliberately trolling is griefing.

I don't even deal with hunts unless im out in the open and happen to walk upon one (a yet im selfish?), and on a side note careful with post such as I quoted as it could be considered harassment/offensive and reported as such.

Arutan as unfortunate as it all is, this is just the nature of open world content, and yeah it does come across as a selfish act to the people who couldn't make it in time, but people are under no obligation to wait for random strangers, Its nice to wait but its not a sealed in stone right. This old chesnut has been talked about time and time again on this forum and the argument ultimately ends up just running in circles.

As people will often say in regards to open world content as well, first come, first served.

Though they if they are deliberately trolling and admitting to it; do document it and send it to a GM, you never know something could come of it but I wouldn't get your hopes up I'm afraid.

There is no such thing as early pulling for hunts BUT there are unspoken roles between players in order to make things easy and enjoyable for everyone.

- Ready checks.
- Countdowns.
- Waiting for hunts/fates/full party.

No one will report you if you don't do any of the above but people will appreciate it if you do.
These guys had the numbers to down it. Nothing wrong with what they did.

I imagine that those people are mostly older MMORPG players who are used to the competition.

Back then there was no such thing as sharing rewards.

I hope that Stormblood scraps hunts and makes timed world bosses like in GW2. If it's gonna be a zerg fest instead of a competition then organize a time and place for it to happen so if one misses it then they have no one to blame but themselves.
