Why are bad hunt behavior rewarded?

Technically it doesn't violate any rules of policies, unless of course they announce they are doing it to piss people off. If people in the zone announce they are on their way and they go ahead and kill it anyway, that is just rude and disrespectful. Unfortunately that is how people are in this day and age, they have no respect for their fellow players. We live in a generation where everyone wants instant gratification. People can't seem to wait 3 min for others to join. I wouldn't take it too personally Arutan, people are just impatient jerks. I remember years ago when MMO communities were full of patient, helpful players. There are still people like that, my wife and I for example, but it's getting to where most people only care about themselves. It's like decency and compassion has been bred out of people. The world is a crappy place and people are crappy. My advice for you, don't become one of those people, do what you can to be a decent, respectful human being.

There are no rules about pulling open world mobs, and Yoshida himself has said that they're not going to be policing hunts.

@OP i am on Ragnarok and i was hunting the Last days. There will be always People they are Pulling and not Waiting, all you can do is Get into a Hunting Linkshell, Teleport immediately.

The Person which found the Hunt can do w/e he wants to. First Comes first thats the Rule. At the beginning of Heavensward you had to Hunt them by your Own, if u say this pace is fast, then you have no clue how fast it can be at the Moment hundreds of People Farming them.

1) Reduce your loading time to a Minimum. New Hardware?! Upgrade PS3 -> PS4
2) Hunt them by your own
3) Get into Hunting Linkshells

Early pulling is a problem in a dungeon or raid. You're with a set amount of people in an instance and you need to work together or else you all may just wipe. On the open field, I don't shout to see if someone is gonna attack the hornets outside of Uldah nor do I shout about doing special FATEs. It's an open world mob, and people are treating it like a raid boss rush.

And in the event that I see a Crystal Tower FATE and someone asks me to hold on, I will. Otherwise, I'm gonna kill it and keep moving.

I don't even deal with hunts unless im out in the open and happen to walk upon one (a yet im selfish?), and on a side note careful with post such as I quoted as it could be considered harassment/offensive and reported as such.

Arutan as unfortunate as it all is, this is just the nature of open world content, and yeah it does come across as a selfish act to the people who couldn't make it in time, but people are under no obligation to wait for random strangers, Its nice to wait but its not a sealed in stone right. This old chesnut has been talked about time and time again on this forum and the argument ultimately ends up just running in circles.

As people will often say in regards to open world content as well, first come, first served.

Though they if they are deliberately trolling and admitting to it; do document it and send it to a GM, you never know something could come of it but I wouldn't get your hopes up I'm afraid.

I imagine that those people are mostly older MMORPG players who are used to the competition.

Back then there was no such thing as sharing rewards.

I hope that Stormblood scraps hunts and makes timed world bosses like in GW2. If it's gonna be a zerg fest instead of a competition then organize a time and place for it to happen so if one misses it then they have no one to blame but themselves.
