    Alexander Gears and Red Craft/Gatherer Scrip restrictions

    Why weren't these removed/changed this patch? The gear isn't really relevant anymore since relic and Alex are i270 and there's still the 1000 scripture requirement for the weapons and the cap was moved from 450=>900 for those, so why not for crafter/gatherer scrips?

    Red scrips don't bother me as much, I want the folklore tomes to cost less tokens 99 at this stage is annoying.

    I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

    Ya I was little sad to notice that too. What I would give for the red scrips to mimic the Sciptures more. I mean a 500 storage limit... and 450 a week? Really?

    I don't especially care about the weekly limit on red scrips, but I'd like them to increase the maximum amount I can hold on to at once.

    I was hopeful for Alexandrian gears to be reduced and lifted on weekly obtainment as well, same with Dun Scaith loot (if they left the Proto Ultima quest alone it wouldn't bother me) and the gobdips becoming obtainable from the Mhachi items. I don't get the logic in lifting Savage but nothing else (should've all happened at once). With Savage unlimited now, you're better off trying to get successful A10S kills since the micro tomestone drops there instead of doing A12N for 7 weeks, even if you don't know much about the fight to start with.

    For comparison's sake: In patch 2.55, Final Coil restrictions loot-wise were all lifted, but you still needed a full party to run it until the following patch. World of Darkness loot was lifted. Encrypted Tomestone was added to the weekly quest. It isn't unreasonable by any stretch for people to be surprised it didn't happen in this patch. I guess if it did though there wouldn't be a point really in a 3.57 patch other than bug fixes/misc. adjustments.

    I also don't like how we can only carry 500 red scirps at once, yet we're stuck with a 450 weekly cap. Never have liked it. Should just be 500 a week to match it (or max amount you can carry increased as mentioned in an above post). 450 weekly cap but with a 500 limit always seemed rather...silly to me.

    I got them all in a few days thanks to the new Diadem, its heaven for Gathering Scripts.

    It's cause the battle classes and the craft/gathers are different entities, they don't follow the same rules. You increase the cap of tomes to encourage players to gear up/prepare for other jobs they may want to play, like SAM or RDM aka MNK or BLM/SMN gear. With crafting/gathering it's different though, the limited means of gaining gear, unless you buy it off the MB is in a way a perk for those who continued to do their weekly scrips. If they were to increase the weekly cap, it would hurt the market for those who had stayed focused and completed the content on a weekly basis compared to someone who jumps in now and get 2 months worth of scrips in 1 month. Which in turn would be about 6 months worth of red scrip or maybe more like 5.5 months worth if want to get specific which is a lot of scrips. April, May, June 20th, that's 4/4/3.

    So compare 4950 red scrips to 9900 red scrips. The jump is just way to much for them. If anything, maybe 600 would be ok but you can't do a straight up double like with tomestones.

    Then again, think of it from the perspective of a battle class again. The increase in tomestones of a battle class hopefully increases the overall IL of those playing said content, in a way it's a win/win situation for players who use DF since now players who are catching up have less excuse to be under-geared. DOL/DOH don't have this same commitment to the playerbase, it's their own motivation that benefits themselves and increasing their weekly limit doesn't help anyone but the player that didn't gear up but then again who does it really help? It helps those who actually stay capped on a weekly basis, it doesn't help those trying to play catch up or stopped gathering red scrips after awhile since if they could barely get through 450, what makes you think they would do 900. 900 actually benefits the veteran DOL/DOH more in that sense which at least with the 900 tomestone, most players that even play casually can easily hit the cap and then some. Honestly speaking I get tired of crafting red scrip items when I only need to make 10, and now it would be doubled? The cost of materials, or time to obtain them, doubled, everything about the process doubles but it's not exactly the same when you do battle class tomestones since people tend to hit the cap without even trying.
