Can we have more armor like this?

Its featured in the 1.0 cgi trailer and has an irl display in Eorzea cafe. It looks to be a mix of the "harness" and "doublet" variants already available ingame, with a 1.0 belt attached. Of course if put ingame the belt would be a part of the chest piece (or pants)

This gear looks like one of an adventurer, like us.

Its appears versatile enough to suit all DoW's making me wish it was a part of the lvling gear.

With all the new fancy coats and suits it makes me wish there were more new gear added in this, practical, style. The gear was meant to represent the player, but for some reason newer made for us, i can only assume it was concept art given to the studio behind the cutscene.

All new gear is way too fancy for my tastes. Bring back simplicity and practicality.

There is a definite Japanese influence in gear styles. I wonder why? /s
I agree, though. All my glamours are of the non-wedding gown type of armor. I want my tank to look tanky, not about to walk down the aisle. I feel silly provoking while wearing an old west hoop skirt.
I just wish there were a lot more like this to choose from.

I am under the impression that 1.0 was made by japanese devs as well no?

Theres only but a handful of sets introduced in the entirety of 2.x-3.now that fits the bill of what i want, namely the brayflox gear. But even then the style of brayflox gear is much more detailed than the 1.0 variants, much more flimsy. They do still give the look of an adventurer, which i very much appreciate.

Going to Othard, i do realise we will get more eastern inspired gear, but i do wish we get at least one "tier" if you will, of standard, solid, gear.

I'm always all for more glamour options! Particularly gear that looks like something a traveling adventurer would really wear- more practical and less fancy.

Loving the simplicity of this armor. They showed it again in the SHB opening... I wish they wiould finally create it for ingame use (or was this an actual armor in 1.0?)

It is a variation on the lower level 1.0-era harness and doublet outfits, so really, just get a level 30-40ish harness and thigh boots and dye them teal, and it's fairly close to Derplander's 'Echo' outfit in 1.0's opening movie (he actually wore a different outfit based on a low level tabard, in the Adventurer's Guild in the same opening movie).

Incidentally in 1.0 there was no 'racial' starting gear - your character started with a weathered outfit based on what class you started as (GLA, which 'Derplander' clearly was in the Adventurer's Guild in the 1.0 opening, started fittingly with the aforementioned tabard and pants), so this is presumedly referencing his 'starting' gear pre Calamity. Only with ARR did you get a default racial outfit that was determined by race and gender, not what class you started as.
