i don't get it anyway why they remove the "old" raid from the raid finder, while putting the old ex primals in there...

They do it purposely to avoid what the OP is asking for. They want people with experience to queue into it to help new players get their first clears. Removing loot and echo is basically the devs way of saying "we'll make it easier, but please help people clear." Let's face it, a lot of people won't take anyone with bonus, however they'll grudgingly accept it if queue times are fast enough.

It kinda works in JP data center since most people come in knowing what to expect/do, even if they have bonuses, which is precisely why previous ex trials are farmable as soon as they got added into DF. Occasionally there are people going in blind expecting to get carried, though most of the time they at least know the fight. From what I've heard/read about NA/EU data centers' DF (practice in DF, clear/farm in PF) it probably doesn't work as well as it does here.

Then again regardless of that, it's weird to have old ex trials like thordan on RF while putting a12s on DF lol.

Not an argument. You can have full i270 without setting foot in savage.

I play on Elemental. When you're playing in a culture of "learn on PF, clear on RF", of course people will expect you to know what you're doing if you're queuing on pub. Putting Savage on DF is contradictory to the culture

I mean, personally I feel that raid finder serves no purpose now that we have cross-server party finder, and all the RF stuff should be put back into duty finder? I like to queue for several duties at a time to cut down on queue times, and having them separated out like this is very annoying.

Being able to tick a box that guarantees that no new people are allowed also hurts clear rates, since, at least on my data center, learning parties in PF are rarer than unicorns that crap gold, so your only real recourse to 'learn' is to try your luck on DF parties. It's a good thing I've been too busy with classes these last two semesters to care much, or I'd be really bitter about not having been able to even TRY to clear an EX primal since Ravana...

I'd be happy with all raids being in raid finder, or at the very least the last tier until the next tier is released. I am comfortable joining a first phase raid finder when it's my first time, but I'll more than likely mess up a clear or farm group if I get paired with them.

That Raid is now "old content" so it had been adjusted to let the casuals swarming there.

Raid finder is mainly "no bonus" and no one wants first timers, so it have been removed from there for a reason. Old ex primals, I guess it will be their turn soon.

My impression is, devs wants everyone on their i260+ when expansion hits.

Agreed.... did 12-14 a12s kills last night and bonus sneaked in a few times. Had to kick them.
