    Hard but accessible content would be prefered from my point of view.
    I Think game needs a balance of challenge though.
    What content do player want that is a challenge in the game?

    To me i see this as taking on some really hard boss as oppossed to killing a monster 700 times to acquire 1 item needed to upgrade a gear piece.

    Just out of intrest has anyone tried taking on the level ?? monsters that are in the game ?
    Would love know how tough or easy they are for groups atm.

    To be on topic, yes on difficult content but not necessary the one with gimmicky 1shot, Salvage-type of content proved to be quite fun (except the droprate) and what i feel instanced content should be like, multiple path to choose and different way to obtain gears.
    There are harder fights out there than a fight where the tank hardly has to move at all, and the healers+damage dealers just have to run away from time to time to not stand in the fire + avoid using abilities to not get locked on the spot.

    There I described basically the whole fight, that's the joke.

    You know, for me personally... It's challenging enough as it is. Try finding a party that will accept you only if you have x-skill and are y-job. Or gathering a party together to do something only after 2-3 wipes due to the incompetence of someone who decides not to listen to orders, deciding to disband. This has been my experience since even Ifrit came out. Have a certain skill? Okay fine, but only "this job or GTFO" doesn't fly. Neither does spending all your time gathering up a party to attempt something only to have 2 wipes later someone going "I'm done for tonight, see you." and then everyone deciding to follow suite.

    I originally may have complained about something being too hard, but it's very difficult to even get better at it when you're not given a chance. I've seen how endgame linkshells run, and I don't want to dedicate every waking moment of my time doing nothing but endgame crap. They're fun yes, something to strive for yes. But frequently make me drop what I'm doing to be here at x time on y date or GTFO the LS? No thanks.

    TLDR: Make the game even harder? No thanks, how about giving us a better community that doesn't flake out, ditch, or have elitist attitudes first. Thanks.

    (PS, this isn't directed at anyone in this thread at all, so please don't take it as a personal attack.)

    There is something like a middle way Mihana. Something between giving up after 2-3 fights and doing over 100 fights. You just have to make an effort to find a ls/community which has the same values as yourself when it comes to dedication/ social interaction.

    11 had like ten years to implement all of that, give it some time they are still developing the game,lol

For example if SE were to introduce a new Bahamut fight in FFXI, it'll be a challenge, if they were to introduce a Bahamut fight in XIV, it'll be a push over because they have to please the casual playerbase as well as the "hardcore" playerbase so the overall difficulty would be set very low in order to fit all playstyles. Like Ifrit is a decent challenge, but realistically latency problems from poor servers optimization gave it the slight challenge it does have.

    If there is one thing in this game that would make me quit, it would be the lack of difficulty. Especially in regards to the main storyline. At this moment the game is currently 99% Casual/Easy and 1% Hard. I don't want everything to be super difficult but I think it's time that those who want a challenge actually start to get something that is difficult. They already implemented spam to 50 in 3 days for all the casuals. What's next? Everyone gets an Excalibur (Relics) in 4 days because it would be unfairrrrrr ='(
