Hmmm this thread has been silent as of late. So here's me going around as The Moogle of Fertility.

>.< Yeah, sorry, I haven't been feeling well and things got really busy at work, so I've just been too tired to update. I'll pick it up again once I actually have time to finish SB and get a few classes to 70 so I can play with the new items. Feel free to post in the meantime!
When did they add Moogles as a playable race?! You make a lovely Moogle White Mage!
Life can sidetrack like that, yes. At least make sure to get the rising out of the way for the flower confetti, minions, and the orch scrolls (we FINALLY get the echo-y version of Answers).>.< Yeah, sorry, I haven't been feeling well and things got really busy at work, so I've just been too tired to update. As for the moogles, thanks. Shame they don't work out so well with the black mage set, head clips right through the collar. If it weren't for that and the skin showing in the inner limb regions they would almost be official race.
I dont understand this Argument. This isn't is real life clothing; its gear based on classic final fantasy appearances. You can google what a white mage, a black mages, a Dragoon, a bard, a pld and so on and see the style that Sqaure Enix is trying to keep authentic. This isn't about feminizing males and emasculating females. Its about keeping the game authentic and true to its Final Fantasy origins. This dates back always to FF1 not something that Square Enix conjured up just for a MMO.
I don't understand this argument. We can already wear clothing based on classic Final Fantasy appearances. That's one of the things this thread demonstrates. However, we can't wear things that have nothing to do with classic FF, like gloves and boots and bunny ears. FF doesn't traditionally treat half it's players like second class citizens just because they picked the incorrect gender that the design team doesn't like to look at as much. That's not 'authentic', that's just weak and has no place in FFXIV. And they're still doing it today!
If this is about cross dressing then, you as someone that has knowledge of FF games would already know that cross dressing is not something new to Final Fantasy. We have seen crossdressing in: FFIV, FFV, FFVII, FFVIII, FFX-2, Lightning Returns: FFXIII, FF Tactics games, FF: Legends, Dissidia: Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy: The 4 heroes of light. Saying that its not part of FF is false, if the developers do not want to add them its one thing, but cross dressing is not something new to FF and I reckon it will keep showing in future games.I dont understand this Argument. Feminine males is like one of the top 3 things that FF games is known for after Chocobo and Moogles. Lets not forget SE might let us play as a Dragoon, but that still wont stop us from wearing an Moogle outfit or a bikini into battle. To many people are worried about what someone else will do with their character, just let them play as they want.

This isn't about class gear appearances, the issue is that females get the most variety and interesting stuff, and males get shafted in that department because even with clip masking, male gear puts more emphasis on modesty and the chest area for exposure. That in turn affects their piece meal potential, their interchangeable capabilities and style. Most of us want the same flexibility, and one surefire way to go with this is more feminine clothing to access. It won't automatically equal feminine either, chicks get stuff like kecks that show leg, quarter-tights, revealing but ultimately unisex gear designs.
Welcome to any fantasy mmo with a cash shop for vanity gear.
Looking cute, sexy and/or just 'good on the eyes' was always a female thing in these games, and the devs happily provide outfits to accommodate the demand.
It's similar of what you see in malls or shopping stores - Floors upon floors with woman fashion, and maybe a single male oriented one at the top.

Well naturally, closest they'll get to 'sex sells' is vanity items. Leaves much to be desired though when the other half of the spectrum's flavor is serious and broad-shouldered. One like myself tends to grow tired when they are constantly subjected to the same standard on dress code.Welcome to any fantasy mmo with a cash shop for vanity gear.
