Oh my god, Mikaeru, those are amazing! The ones with the Coliseum subligar look positively scandalous.
So the servers are down, and when they come back up, there will be a whole new world of glamour available. Here's the Yafaemi casting set (with the Garo BLM head because I couldn't get the hat to drop). A caster set that isn't a robe or a skirt?! Shocking! Those bellbottoms are pretty fabulous, though.
He looks kinda ticked off. Maybe he's trying to figure out where he's going to put all those new items.

May I ask a stupid question ? It's not a troll at all, it's a real one ^^"
When I see this glam (wich is pretty cool by the way ! *.*) I wonder, why play a male character if your goal is to wear female glamour ?
Hear me out, I'm totally for the removal of gender lock on glam which sucks but here we have a charac that really looks like a girl so, why not just play a female ?
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
While this question has been used to troll a lot in the past, thank you for asking it respectfully
A few of those items are male-only models, so actually there's no way to replicate those exact looks if you switch to a female character (the girls who hate the 'sexy' stockings, miniskirts and cut-out panels they're constantly showered with can probably relate). But some of us just like an andryogynous aesthetic; masculine charm and elegance are a great combination, and the FF series doesn't tend to need a character to physically become a woman to achieve that kind of look.
I like being a guy. I just don't like being a burly, bronzed sportsman of a guy.
I see, having the same struggle with my lala and all the oversexualized glam ^^"

While it's true that SE is located in a traditional country, I feel like their games have become more open-minded. I mean, there's VanillexFang, not to mention the bromance that is FFXV.The reason for this is SquareEnix is not a western company. They come from a very traditionalistic culture, even more so than the puritannical one that seems to pervade evangelical regions of North America. Its not even going to compute in the heads of the producers to the reasons this thread even exists. To them its going to sound like "I'm X and I want A, because Y has A."
-snip-
And while I'm a sucker for coats and love the glamour system for it, I'm not sure if I want to see immersion-breaking characters walking around more often. Sorry to say, but in a high-fantasy with a great storyline it can just ruin a moment when you see a "creative" player walking by. I'm not even talking about gender restrictions here, some people walk around in bikinis in Ishgard...
edith: Don't misunderstand, I don't mind people being eccentric, when they do it in style and hold back a little. But when someone goes full "I'm fabulous"-mode. Yeah, no.

Garo BLM top with the Uraeus skirt makes him look oddly perky.
Getting to bed early so I can get up in time for early access. We'll see if I make it, since it starts around the time I'd usually be going to bed!

White Mage AF (i90 recolor).
I'm off for the next few days, and SE seems to have gotten their act together, so with any luck I'll be able to progress a bit in Stormblood and show off some of the new sets, soon. I've seen pictures of the level 63 dungeon set that are very promising.
