Just saying. Thanks for clarifying your post. I do believe people should have access to all outfits regardless of the gender because clothing nowadays is just fashion.

If people say that clothing is important to protect us, then they need to stop playing MMOs and/or video games. To me video games and MMOs is just a way to explore a trend. The pros of a virtual "self*" is than people can have a body of different shapes in an instant . It allows you to be creative.

I know our resident troll won't ever actually reply (because his point inherently makes no sense - I'll be around in-game in a few hours if you want me to help with the confusion thing, dude!)

But what interests me more is the three cowards who ran in and Liked his post without sticking around to give reasons. These people don't want to debate or reach an understanding at all, they just want to gang up on a bunch of strangers trying to have fun. Classy.

I don't have any nice pictures with me today, so I'll try a variation on the theme. We've had pages and pages of guys (and a few gals) having fun with feminine fashion and looking amazing, so here's my Elezen feeling awkward in a male-only set.

Others may disagree but in my opinion, his looks don't really suit the Tidus costume. And that's ok, because everyone has different taste. I'll stuff it back into my retainer and go back to the gowns.

I think you asked and answered your question right here. You're equating three (now six) people anonymously liking a post with "ganging up on a bunch of strangers." You also called them "cowards" and sarcastically referred to them as "classy." People who feel this way (which I am sadly obligated to point out, do not include myself) are afraid to actually voice their concerns, because they will be savaged for them, and they know it. Do you honestly want to "debate" or "reach an understanding" with those people? Or do you just want to bully them into saying they agree with you?

I would be very hesitant to say that "I don't get gays. You're so WEIRD. Do you even know what you like??" is voicing a concern. It's belittling, ignorant, and best kept to themselves. There's no calm discussion to be had with a post like that.

I agree. However, his posts, awful as they have been, have all gotten a lot of likes. Which means there are people who agree with him, but aren't willing to say so.

Given the almost homophobic nature of his post I am not surprised that people prefer to hide behind a like instead of voicing their "opinion". You might be right about them being "afraid" of being called out on it, but you know what? It would totally serve them right to hear how disgusting that sort of discriminatory behaviour is. I can feel a little bit of sympathy for those who say "I'd prefer more unique options for races and genders" and would like the items to stay locked for that reason, even though I dont share that opinion.

To those who are afraid of gays and worry about their manliness being taken away by male characters wearing "femine clothes" there is nothing to say but "You disgust me" - and if they're afraid to speak their homophobic mind, thats a good thing in my book because it shows that being gay is more accepted in this community than homophobia - as it should be.

Edit: I'm female btw - not gay. And I used to play a male elezen for two years. I was extremly disappointed when I didnt get to wear bunny ears on my male character - you wanna know why? Not because I consider that sexy but because I would have loved to make a hilarious easter-bunny glamour, using the reindeer-suit and the bunny-ears. My male character was allowed to be a reindeer, but not a bunny - that was obviously crossing a line.
Not everyone wants to dreass their male characters up as little girlies - there are items locked that could be used in many different ways. And those who want to play a more femine male character can already do that - as shown lovely here in this thread! Keep up the good work boys and girls! ;D

That said, I abhor the entire Glamour system. It has severely damaged my ability to become properly immersed in the game. There's nothing like seeing some moron bunny-hopping about town in a bikini to make me remember I'm playing a game, and one that is far goofier than I'd like.

I wonder if SE would consider an option to let us turn OFF other people's Glamours, as far as our personal view is concerned...
That would be cool. I find it immersion breaking too. Tanking in a sundress isn't believable.

@ Ikuna are you saying that female characters have lewd outfits and that is ok? That is so wrong. Just because they are showing more legs and skin, as you said, doesn't mean that everybody wants them to look sexually appealing. Some outfits can be sensual without going to the sexual spectrum. It all depends on people culture, customs, traditions, and ideology of each individual according to the rules the parents taught them and what the child(ren) wanted to rebel against, too.

Thought I'd bring my Roe into the conversation.

This is probably the girliest I've ever made a character look.
