Should there be a votekick option in Diadem?

I recently encountered a player who refused to take part in FATES and mission objectives because he stated he was only in Diadem for the Emergency Mission. But when the rest of the party completed the main mission, he of course, came by and collected the mission reward and returned to his platform and waited for the Emergency Mission.

Can we get the votekick feature back for players who refuse to participate? Or is this a reportable offense that we can call a GM for?

There was another player who reported this type of behavior to a GM and their reply was as followed:

So in this case this is a reportable offense because the player is purposly hindering the party?

This has happened to me a few times. Honestly, i don't mind if they want to go afk after the objectives have been done, and then perhaps they want to be wait for an Emergency Mission to pop, fine. But if they just blatantly do nothing from the beginning and refuse to help out, then that isn't a team effort. Also there are linkshells around to promote this kind of behaviour, so don't think it's changing any time soon....

This is why I'm concerned. Because it slows progress and makes it painful when lets say one of our healers does not participate at all from the start. Or god forbid the tank runs off. I know you can change classes, but not everyone is equipped as others.

It's a bit demoralising from the get go when people already don't want to help, and the salt that comes from them for questioning it just damages the entire experience.
That's another thing i don't get, how come a party has to be formed 1 tank, 2 heal, 5 DPS when this can just be changed once in the duty anyway, and not all people stick to their queued class after all. The Palace of the Dead has a no limit class requirement queue.

I guaranteed you if they add in votekicking you(or specifically, Western playerbase) are going to have endless complaining threads about how they were unfairly kicked off Diadumb mission for whatever reason.

Nope. Content is working as intended.
SE created content that requires the player to wait around doing nothing for an hour. Most people aiming for the 280 weapon have no interest in other activities.

What they SHOULD do, is make it so that anyone who doesn't participate in a fair portion of the mission doesn't get their personal reward at the end. That way people who do afk won't be rewarded for others hard work at the very least. Other than that, they designed it this way. Why should people get kicked for content they want to run?

So let's say the majority of a party wants to do the main stuff, objectives and some fates here and there. There is a member doing nothing, so the party poliety asks for their assistance in doing a fate maybe but the AFKer refuses, giving only a sarcastic response. So far it's creating a bad experience for the people that want to do extra stuff. The AFKer also if a tank or healer wastes the party limit break for no reason, just for being called out on being AFK, so again content might be working but the party experience is not.

If people want to run the content how they want, doing nothing like you said, then would there be a problem them creating a PF stating their intentions? The frustration is them queuing normally with people that want to do the stuff and it's the genuine players that suffer to be fair.

I understand the problem, but it's the faulty design of the Diadem at fault more than the players.
The biggest thing in Diadem is the 280 weapon, and it just so happens that neither the mission nor fates directly effect it's occurrence. That on top of fates not offering any worthwhile rewards other than broken lockboxes and Brass spoils losing it's value after you've amassed over 100 of them, and you have people that aren't interested in anything aside from the EM and 280 weapon - the only thing of value in Diadem.

But you don't need a full party to queue there, only you and a friend.
I just don't think it's right for somebody to come only during an Emergency Mission, it's like to be afking for a whole dungeon/24m raid except for the final boss because you just want to roll on the minion.

It's really nothing like that. With dungeons, you're working towards the end goal. Everything you do is connected to clearing the dungeon.

With Diadem missions, nothing at all is towards the EM. Not fates, not the starting mission, nothing. You gain absolutely nothing from it if your goal for being there is EMs.

Again I'm not saying this is fine behavior, but it's the faulty design of Diadem itself.
