    Weren't the smaller sword more of a ceremonial/status thing and not actually used that often?

    They were useful indoors or in smaller spaces where a normal sword might be more difficult to use freely.

    That aside, having a proper daisho would be nice, but I can deal with it if SAM doesn't have it, so long as the swords we get are well designed. Even if as glamour, I personally am looking forward to the Ironworks/Allagan/High Allagan/Hive/Sophic Katanas.
