I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a bit upset that there wasn't any mention or memorial to Sian Blake (Yugiri's second voice actress) during the credits.
She was with us for a long time.

While I guess it would be nice, I'm mostly just glad they didn't do something ridiculous like kill Yugiri off 'in tribute', as I recall some people requesting when we first got the news.
(Also, wasn't she the second Yugiri? I don't play with English voices, but I could swear people were complaining that they changed her actress back when 3.0 was released?)
They changed almost all of the English language voice actors with 3.0 - if not all of them.
Ah, you're right. I also don't play with English voices.
Fixed!
I think lot of people wouldn't even notice anyways. Only handful would.
They made a big mention of it when it happened.
Right. And as tragic as it is, I don't remember anything but complaints when they changed her voice, so it's funny how much people seemed to suddenly love her after she was killed.
I mean, speak no ill of the dead, but don't idealize them either, that's disrespectful in its own way.
Ya, you have to know where to draw the line when paying respects to someone. Not everyone would want to be glorified or remembered in such a way, they would just want people to move past it and look ahead, not to have that constant reminder of a terrible incident that occurred in the timeline of their life. Like rather than having them be remembered most for being dead, remember them for what they did. Remember Robin Williams for his movie roles and comedy, George Carlin for the same, Steve Erwin, Bernie Mac, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Prince, etc. We want to remember these people for the impact they left not to be reminded of how or when they passed.
Blake was in the credits for the original 3.0 Heavensward content. Yugiri didn't have anymore speaking scenes until late 3.X, which is the new actress and why only she was listed in the new credits. It's different content and it would be crediting Blake with someone else's work.
I actually had this thought and was going to make a thread about it...
I think SE (out of respect) should've added her in the special thanks portion or SOMETHING to recognize her.
I don't play in English and I have never heard her voice for the character, but still...it bothered me somewhat.
I'm a female player who plays a male character.
Shocker....
