Sujet : Mount special actions using controllers is a frustrating affair. (with 3.56 spoiler)

Time used to be, upon mounting certain interactive objects, all your usual moves disappeared and automatically replaced by said object's available actions. This also used to be the case with certain mounts and made it easy to perform their special moves.

I never really noticed until this final fight that it was no longer the case and had to struggle through what was supposed to be a relatively easy instance with my controller. I was fortunate enough tobe able to use the PS4 controllers with its trackpad. I wonder how people with PS3 would hold up.

Or am I missing something? Because supposedly there is a mountbbar option, but for some reason it doesnt seem to work with the cross hotbar. Anyone using controllers have a fix?

I don't know what options control it (check for anything mentioning the pet hotbar, I think), but I play with a controller and the special hotbar came right up, replacing my normal hotbar in that fight. This is definitely configurable.

There's actually a config option about mount hot bars replacing normal ones......I believe you unchecked it.

With controller if you just tap R1 once while on a mount with actions it will take you right to that hotbar if it doesn't change automatically. It does this for ps3/ps4/pc(controller).

You're missing something. You've got something wrong with your controller because it was an absolute breeze.

I checked both options for the mount bar as well as the pet bar, but both only showed in my hotbar, not my cross.

I play on PS4 didn't have any issues with the mount, the controls pop up in place of my regular cross hotbar and went back to my normal one afterwards.
