There's a work around and even if it's not the best, sometimes it can save you from being removed/kicked from groups due to disconnect. If you have the option to create an alt, not sure what kind of subscription you have, go ahead and do that. Make sure it's on the same server, after you have been disconnected, log back in, select your alt and log that one in. You should get an error message, confirm, back at the login screen now select your current/main character and log in, it clears the data and you won't have to wait 5 minutes. It's not a 100% but at least 90% fix and I know it's a hassle but a possibility if you don't want to wait.
