New Racers for Final Fantasy XIV

One thing people seem quick to forget is that FFXIV races are not the same as FFXI. They are modeled to look very similar, yes, but they are not the same in any other means. They all have their own, unique lore.

Thus, if they decided they wanted to add bunny girls they will NOT be Viera. They will be bunny girls of a different name, different lore, different aptitudes, and probably (hopefully) even have a modified appearance to look cuter. Miqo'te don't look like Mithra. They don't have the hairy necks, they DO have fur on their tails and whole ears instead of just the tips, and their noses are not dark brown like mithras are. Roegadyns don't have tails. Elezen can be grey... Ok, Elezen kinda got the shaft. Human races are always pretty much... Human. Not a lot unique you can do with them, because their specialty and strength in most games is the fact that they're NOT unique. It's more of a "strength in numbers" sort of thing.

Your first mistake in complaining about the possibilities of bunny girls in 14 is that you're assuming they will have ANYTHING at ALL to do with Viera. The only similarity would be the fact they have bunny ears, and a fluffy little tail. It's a guaranteed safe bet that they would have their own story. Same for if they wanted to make a Ronso-styled race. It would NOT be a Ronso. It would just look similar to what Ronsos did in 10.

All that aside, I'm hoping for fox people or demi-humans. Half voidsent, with demon horns and tails would be awesome

Thanks for depressing me lol. Its a huge shame that Ronso are Cat people. They would have been a great add if not for the Miqo'te already being cat people.. I suppose they could be the like Highlander version of Miqo'te though..
