but repeating races is an off the wall complaint, seeing as most games repeat them.

Don't think star wars fans are bitching about this, and they have more games with the races, playable or not.
what a mad thing to say. all star wars games storys and even films are connected the storys all spin off for eachother of couse one race that is in one starwars story can be in another, they are part of the same universe.

this is nothing to suggest FF games or storys are connected in this way, and even if they were, the Burmecian from FF9 and the viera from FF12, would be the last race to jump on a rocket to travel to another planet, as they live without technology.

but anyway that is all by the by. all i'm saying is in the FF world there is not the same connection between games as there is in starwars or lord of the rings or any series that uses the same races over and over

What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.

I'm not agaist adding different races, just the compliant on repetition, is silly. Most FF is the same stuff, maybe different name. Having a chocobo, mob, or the same aeons in nearly every game isn't bothering people, and they have been repeated more times than the current races.

Nojima said FFX and FFVII are connected, and Dissidia pushes the notion even further, connecting many of the games together.
