I dunno, I came away with less "What a twist!" and more "You spent years lying to me?"I echo this. I believe we all had imagined that she'd be the lady in red, but I definirely did not expect that outcome at all. My mind was a bit broken after that, I didn't know what to think or what to feel. I really loved this ending because of this; I love how they didn't need to go on a killing and betrayal spread all over again, or even add a huge war to make an impacting ending. Not every story needs mass destruction to be good, and repeating the same formula as 2.5 wouldn't have been very surprising either. Lyse's identity was a punch in the face for me, and that's how any good story must end in my opinion.
