Also, Tataru has shown that she has no combat ability whatsoever. I doubt the Garlean Empire would have any use of someone like her. Additionally, they've already used the Scion turncoat strategy twice now- Thancred taken over by an Ascian and Urianger 'helping' the warriors of darkness.

This doesn't change the fact, it's possible, she is playing the role she wants us to see. Play the prisonner, it's something deja vu to fool people and could be true here. Maybe she has fooled everyone by showing her (false) skills combats too. Who knows ? Maybe she will just stay the little Tataru we know or maybe we will learn her true identity, if there is.

Merlwyb has a unique face model but it still has the traits of a roe. Gosetsu is different in that his face is a lot softer and is radically different from what his race looks like. I firmly believe that Gosetsu is a Roe and not a Hyur, however you can't deny that he is definately a different type of roe than we have encountered before.

and what if he was a new kind of hyur adapated to another place? like the highlander and midlander are different because of the place they did live in. honestly Gotestu outside the fact to be bigger than anything we have seen so far... have nothing in comon with the roe

As of now, we're still in the 5th year after the calamity. 6 years ago, when Yda died, was both before the calamity and before 1.0.

We never met her, we've always been with Lyse.

I loved the revelation, this is what I needed to make me interested in Stormblood. Yda, well Lyse, is always been one of my favorite characters and I'm glad they chose her for the next expansion.

look up 1.0 cs you meet minfilia as a child then later in 1.0 as an adult. ff14 1.0 cs were almost always an echo. And it is stated that the momemts we see span 15 years from when gaes invaded eorzea at silvertear lake to joining the the precurser to the scoins.

so it is hard to say if 1.0 ppl met yda or not as the timeline of events of pre yoshida 1.0 is iffy based on "everything we see is an echo"

Late to the party but, So Yda (being dead and all) or rather her sister Lyse, is the girl in red in the SB trailers.

I had built a close friendship with Yda just to find out she was killed (by SE) six years ago, sadly convenient for her (now) younger sister Lyse, it's really sad to learn the news but of course, it had to be done in order to open the path to Stormblood!...

One good thing though, is that Yda, now Lyse, turned out to be the dancing Monk from the Stormblood trailer, I was always right, even though many did not believe it because of her tattoo, everything makes sense now!...

It wasn't the tattoo that threw me off, it was the, um, cup size. Lyse must be getting some surgery between now and 4.0...
