    I would hope it's routine espionage and not another betrayal, unless it's Nero being Nero. However, some trusted figure turning their back on us would feel a bit repetitive. The Crystal Braves may not be a current event, but it's still recent enough that it would just feel like a lack of creativity on the part of the writers were it to happen again.

    It's probably espionage.

    If the Ninja questline means anything, it's possible that the Garleans have ninjas of their own to do the spying.
