Thread: 3.56 MSQ Discussion (SPOILERS)

Forcing a dumb outfit upon us with the quest line, then railroading our character agree that it's good (it isn't; those boots are ridiculous looking with the platform soles, the skirt is terrible for females, and the jacket too gentlemanly for any type of adventuring, the monocle has no place), then makes it so we can't just dump it in the armoire right away to free up space in our inventory and keep it off our retainers. Honestly this is a very shameful thing to force upon anyone, let alone everyone. Thumbs down for this part of the quest and any further ideas from Tataru. From her own story hasn't she yet learned that she can't help by forcing things like this? She should just stick to making the tea, doing the accounting, and keeping quiet in the background until the scions have a financial crisis that requires them all to get real jobs.

She's our friend, we're not going to tell her it's awful, even if that's what we really think. I'm definitely not a fan of the male pants and shoes, and all of the female outfit is pretty meh, but I love the male jacket!

Not being able to put it in the armoire right away was a huge oversight, though. And they've been so good about it lately with event gear!

It's the duty of the Warrior of Light to set things straight. Lying to a "friend" is not something they should do.

I mean, the Warrior of Light's personality and outlooks on things are extremely mutable. Sure there's a few things that are a given (getting something resembling PTSD for the events at Ul'dah and the deaths of those around them, getting paranoid about poisoned drinks, having a shit-eating grin when piloting Nero's Reaper), but how they view lying, and how much they do it, is never established.

That being said, telling someone that the snazzy uniform they made for them "I mean it looks okay, but for one the fabric could use some work, and the color scheme is a bit weird. Here, take it back and try again" or something to that effect would be...I mean, come on.

I'm tempted to grind Samurai just so I can see more Gosetsu later, he's lovely.

Sadly I doubt you will see more Gosetsu as a SAM though you might get some unique dialog for having one levelled. He doesn't interact much with the WoL.

I am going to be honest, its going to be kind of fun going to a place where the WoL is an unknown. Time to take the WoL's stardom international:P

Gosetsu is a MSQ character so it's very unlikely he will have anything to do with the SAM job trainer, just like Yugiri had nothing to do with NIN.

Also, Tataru has shown that she has no combat ability whatsoever. I doubt the Garlean Empire would have any use of someone like her. Additionally, they've already used the Scion turncoat strategy twice now- Thancred taken over by an Ascian and Urianger 'helping' the warriors of darkness.

This doesn't change the fact, it's possible, she is playing the role she wants us to see. Play the prisonner, it's something deja vu to fool people and could be true here. Maybe she has fooled everyone by showing her (false) skills combats too. Who knows ? Maybe she will just stay the little Tataru we know or maybe we will learn her true identity, if there is.
