How are you prepping for Samurai/Redmage?

Hey folks,

As someone whom is swapping his main class from PLD to SAM.
I'm curious how folks are preparing for the release of Samurai and Redmage.

Not a big fan of rushing levels, but seeing as I already have multiple 60s and just want the 50-60 levels over with so i can go into Stormblood happily on my new class and explore the new content.

How have you been preparing for the new classes?
Let's pool ideas so we can get the initial 50-60 grind over with as painlessly as possible

I myself have been:

• Capping out Scriptures, Lore, Poetics
• Stockpiling Gil to the ceiling
• Will be farming Savage once patch hits tuesday to get gear tokens to exchange upon 60
• Squadron XP boosts
• Made some food for leveling
• Capped on Rested XP

well since I have lvl 50 and 60 caster gear I should be good for leveling Red Mage, just need my hands on a RDM weapon

Get your PotD gear to 99/99.

Preparing to combine melee attacks and spells with RDM by getting at mele range with BLM then intercalating autoattacks with the spells.

Presently stocking up on items for relic mainly. IF there is going to be anima version of it for them I would like to have it done before hand. If not got two extra sets for other jobs for when I'm bored. Along with that stocking up with gill, planned time of work and seeing what I can do in advance for school so I can have the month off if possible :P

Sam is striking gear and Rdm is casting, right? Asking before I spend the whole hoard of poetics I've stocked up on.

Since SAM is using MNK gear I've been stocking up on Ironworks (upgraded) and Filibuster sets. Maybe getting some 55-59 gear to upgrade in between. If time permits I'd upgrade to the Shire set.

as for the fact that im a glam-collector I already have every upgraded Garlond Set stored and im on the final pieces of shire/alex for SAM atm (SMN/WHM are already BiS cause they are my mains – so RDM could start right away). maybe I'll get some coil-parts for SAM as well after I checked the parts in combination with Garlond for the beginning but not sure if im motivated enough to do so x'D ...

hmm but potd +99/99 could be an option as well.... although I don't like leveling in potd - haven't done it until now and I doubt that I will start with RDM/SAM...

I'm going to have a 130 Ironworks set ready to go on Day one, possibly glamored with the Dreadwyrm set (haven't decided), and I'll have a 60 BiS set waiting for both jobs as well. If I need anything between 50 and 60 I'll craft it myself.

Nothing i guess? I main blm so already have Red Mage gear, and Sam i do not really care for all too much (even if i love swords) but will eventually level it and worry about gear later.
If you have crafter friends that could be another option gear wise.

Too early to tell yet but i am sure they will add new quests with the upcoming jobs in mind and rewards will be gear just like how it was for HW
