Why Can't WHM Have An Enmity Lowering Stance?

As a WHM I find myself taking aggro off of tanks to often. It always start of with the party saying use shroud but I use Shroud constantly to keep aggro down. It then turns into stop DPSing so much you will take aggro off of me, like what the heck I cant DPS as a WHM. The point im trying to make is why does WHM go so bad with tanks like PLD and, mostly DRK. WHY does AST and SCH have far better enmity control when WHM should be the first healer to have it considering they are the "real" healers.

Yoshi fix WHM soon I cant handle paying this class anymore which is sad cause its my favorite healer.

Ast has weak dps compared to whm and sch has dots, both generate enmity at a much slower pace.

But SoS should be able to kill your enmity and then decrease its gain to make up for this. It does need a makeover.

/thumbsup for a healer coming to complain about agro gain while dpsing and not complaining they have to or trying to justify why they won't

thanks for the compliment. On another note yeah Ast has way weaker DPS but because of the party buffs they bring a higher party DPS to the table so they are loved more for that as well :/

Hear hear! How is this fair? WHM really do need more love and I hope the class rebalancing gives WHM a much needed look over to bring it up to AST's insane levels

to be honest if you're stealing aggro with whm dps its the tank's fault. some dark knights can hold aggro from melee dps openers without grit... who is tanking for you that cant hold aggro from 1200 dps???

yes I agree with what you said but a lot of the DRKs I run with (almost all of them) refuse to turn grit on ever. Like why even be a tank at all if you dont watch aggro at all to the point where a WHM DPSing while keeping up the single target regen up on the tank is to much. Honestly this is mostly a problem with DRKs that raid and like the big numbers. Not saying that this is wrong to want to have big numbers but still even ignoring all this, why does WHM not have better enmity control.

yeah they do suck thats the point a lot of PF DRK tanks dont like tanking with WHM which is the healer with the most threat. Keep in mind this does not mean all DRKs refuse to hold aggro but if they do refuse that means they were forced to gimp themselves a bit by putting tank stance back on or by having to Dark Arts a powerslash.

That really isn't your problem, at that point it's their own fault for not having that flexibility for their role. It wouldn't be fair to force you to stop playing optimally.

Wow what you said is exactly what my friends say on the matter. To bad most people don't care for an optimal WHM when they can just keep the deeps with the other 2 healers without worrying about aggro. Also i am trying to respond to everyone because I really want to know what the people think.
