Yoshi, why isn't there a Monster Hunter Collaboration yet!?

The one game that could literally fuse worlds and everything would be intact lore-wise and logic-wise. In FFXIV we get to kill all kinds of monsters and dragons! You could probably make FATEs, EX Trials, Raid-level trials(A11,T9, etc) and solo content out of monsters alone lol.

And even better, we're getting Stormblood and going to Doma. Perfect place to have the Japanese monsters from the series. Let's not forget the gear!

Rajang trial would be fun. Or Amatsumagatsuchi!

because collaboration events are marketing, and not something sqaure enix does just to entertain their playerbase. when capcom comes to square enix and pays them for the advertisment, then we may get an monster hunter event. but that's nothing what square decides.

Lol I know that collaborations aren't easy to pull off and many have agreements to be made. This is more or less just a crossover request. Not an actual question demanding why.

Monster Hunter is huge in Japan, much bigger than FF. Yokai is huge in Japan, much bigger than FF (Yokai 2 sales are over 6m and XV is less than 1m there). I wouldn't be surprised if its actually SE paid to Level 5 to get that event. Especially if they got FF themed yokai in their game.

You might want to do some research on how that event came about. The CEO of level 5 is Yoshi Ps best friend, and the event came about when they were out drinking.

That's part of the marketing, making good stories for public. And it's probably CEO of L5 asked the event to involve 700 low level FATEs everyone hates, so Yokai franchase got a bad stigma about it, right? And it has nothing to do with making starting areas looking lively and active for new subscribers, right?

But I have an idea that is even better than a XIV+MH collaboration that will give you your MH fix! .

I would. To date, SE has not pursued crossover events unless under very special circumstances (dragon quest and all the final fantasy ones as an example), all of the rest of the times are from other companies coming to SE about cross promotion (yokai and Garo). The only way we will get a MH collab or any collab for that matter (unless you are asking for a FF one) is if the external company requests it and SE thinks it would be a good deal.

I'm actually sick and tired of seeing collab requests on the forums because the answer is always the same. No matter the demand, SE won't pursue it.

I can understand this. I got tired of all the crossover threads too because at one point the main page had alot of them on it. I won't mind any crossovers but I tend to think on how the work in the FFXIV world which is why I didn't like Yokai. Garo doesn't have a story. I didn't like Yokai because it didn't make sense but I never spoke out on it. There are NieR threads too but those are harder to.. tie in to the game? That's what I was getting at here. Monster Hunter is probably the easier to bring in than FF game KH, DQ or any of those(If we are thinking lorewise and logicwise)

Although I don't say negative things about other people's crossover requests in their threads, some of the requests I've seen seemed pretty.. outlandish. For FFXIV(Like Yokai!)
