Red Mage glamours

So, with Stormblood coming in a few months, and with Red Mage confirmed to share gear with Summoner and Black Mage, I can imagine people are preparing to gear up.

I've been collecting caster dps Ironworks gear for a few days now, and frankly, it looks like crap for a Red Mage. So I've been doing some research on a nice-looking glamour to put on the Ironworks gear, but I've run into one tiny little problem...

The lack of a good hat.

I've seen a few glamours that looked amazing, but they were on jobs like Bard, which has the really good AF lvl50 hat. Of course, it's job-exclusive. Example:


I'm looking for a hat that has a similar aesthetic, something that fits well with the classic Red Mage style. Being lvl50 limits my options, but maybe the people here on the forum might provide some original insights.

As a main bard since 2.0, i feel offended that my hat is getting abused for redmage glamour.

EDIT: Last minute thought; I think if you dye this to red, you might come even closer to a redmages hat. http://xivdb.com/item/2650/company+hat Though I agree, the black color part is heavier. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

All I can say is they better put a decent armor set in the game along with the release of red mage that gives it its iconic look. The hat is absolutely non negotiable lol. I must have a good red mage hat!!!

Oh I am sure there will be good red mage hats come SB, the trouble would be before that. Need something fancy to wear for the 50-60 journey. If only the World of Darkness hat was able to be dyed. a Bit pointy but I think it looks nice.

I tried the Company Hat, not as iconic as the BRD one, but it still works as makeshift red mage. Posted this time ago on the elezen thread

Considering RDM and their feathered cap has been in the FF universe longer than the BRD, I'm not sure why you're offended. RDM has been around since the original FF (1987). BRD didn't show up until FF III(1990).

SAM and RDM won't have any unique set till 70, the ones from the videos for sure, unless they decide to give one along with the quest that unlock the class and that would be nice, like a less detailed/complex version but still iconic.
